The "Judenrein" canard

The word "Judenrein" was invented by the Nazis. Its most fervent users, however, are the Zionists. Their logic goes as follows: if a Jew takes over Arab property, and the Arab owners want him to get the hell out of there, then the Arabs are Nazis because they want to make the property Judenrein. Quod erat demonstrandum!

A recent example was provided by Israel's Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Ya’alon. In an interview with the Jerusalem Post, he made the following remarkable statements:

If we are talking about coexistence and peace, why the [Palestinian] insistence that the territory they receive be ethnically cleansed of Jews? Why do those areas have to be Judenrein? Don’t Arabs live here, in the Negev and the Galilee? Why isn’t that part of our public discussion? Why doesn’t that scream to the heavens?

There's no equivalence, and Ya'alon knows it well, between the Arabs who were already living in the Negev in the Galilee when Ya'alon's ancestors roamed the Pale of Settlement and the Jews who have illegally moved into the West Bank, in many cases stealing private Palestinian land, be it to erect the homes, as "security zones" or to build the roads to the settlements. The idea that the Arab citizens of Israel have a legitimacy issue that somehow cancels out with the very concrete illegality of the Jewish settlers in the West Bank is both immoral and absurd.

That aside, no Palestinian negotiator has ever asked to receive a territory ethnically cleansed of Jews. Unfortunately some people are living where they're not authorized to and they'll have to leave the place to comply with international law, not to satisfy the antisemitic designs of anyone. No ethnic cleansing there: thieves are thieves, not an ethnic group. What is being demanded is not a Judenrein territory; it's a squatter-rein one.

But not only that; the Palestinians are even prepared to allow the settlers to remain in the West Bank, provided that they accept Palestinian sovereignty. Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has declared: “Jews to the extent they choose to stay and live in the state of Palestine will enjoy those [democratic] rights and certainly will not enjoy any less rights than Israeli Arabs enjoy now in the state of Israel.”

This is not precisely Ya'alon's idea. As the JPost goes on to report:

Ya’alon said that if Israel and the Palestinians were truly headed down the path of peace and coexistence, “Jews living in Judea and Samaria under Israeli sovereignty and citizenship” should be possible.

Under Israeli sovereignty? What is to be negotiated, then? The two-state solution means a state for the Jews and a state for the Palestinians, not a state for the Jews and another state also for the Jews. If the settlers want to remain in the West Bank, it is the Palestinians who will dictate the terms, not the State of Israel.

It is not through the free use of Nazi analogies to demonize the Palestinians that peace will be achieved. The "Judenrein" canard must be dropped immediately, and the fact that Ya'alon is not called out over his using it speaks volumes about the Israeli government's true commitment to peace.

"Palestine" was divided by the Brits into one Arab and one Jewish state: Jordan and Israel. The Arabs already have dozens of states. The Jews only have one. There are 100s of millions of Arabs but only 5 million Israeli Jews and around 16 million Jews worldwide.

Hey Alberto, how does it feel to side against the few million Jews, especially when those 100 million+ Arabs have proven to be such total losers?

in my "dreams" it turns Alberto into a valiant and fearless knight, a wannabe Rodolfo Valentino look-alike Sheikh or if he prefers a younger version Omar Sharif on his camel joining Peter O'Toole on another camel
Come to think of it - could they have gotten rid of the Turks without the help of a British imperialist nut?

You can tell the decadence of Zionism by the fact that Zionists don't even bother to make arguments any more--just show up, fling a few random racist insults and go.

The 'dozens of Arab states' card is mindlessly self-defeating. Israel's impunity is mainly due to the division of the Middle East into states with incompetent rulers. The Arab leaders who went to war with Israel in 1948 were imperial stooges who did nothing against Zionism during the British Mandate and even then they were more concerned with survival than saving Palestine. A single, strong regime in the whole region would have nipped Israel in the bud.

And regarding 16 million Jews vs. 100 million Arabs, speak for yerself, bub.

I'm weary of this "the Arabs have 22 states" nonsense. It's as racist (and wrong) as anything the zios say. They can't name an Arab with 22 states. They're just saying that all Arabs are the same so if you chuck them out of one country it doesn't matter because they can just assimilate to another.

The fact is that most Arabs have one state whereas most Jews have two, the place where they are from plus Israel. Because of that privilege for Jews, some Arabs have no state. They are the Palestinians.

But Bill's right. The game is up for the zios. There is no case for Israel and just about everyone knows it now.

No population transfer. No ethnic cleansing. What Ya'alon is arguing for is exchanges of land. In other words, the new Palestinian state takes sovereignty over heavily populated areas inside the Green Line and Jews take control of parts of the West Bank. We have as much right to live in Bethlehem and Schem than Arabs do in Jaffa and Jerusalem. This will evict no one from their homes and will surely be part of any final status agreement.

I think you're all deeply embarrassed by the simple fact that you are siding with the people who are vastly more numerous and already have dozens of states, and against the smaller people with just one state.

Yours is the bluster of cowards.

The view of Arabs as a 200 million strong horde ready to kill every Jew in the world is racist paranoia on a grand scale. And considering Israel initiated every war it's fought except 1973, just ridiculous to pretend another shoah was averted by its land grab offensives.

The way Levi put it is one of the most elegant I've heard in a while: way to debunk the deeply racist 'Arabs have 22 states'!

I want to add though that there are also several million Palestinians who aren't just stateless but essentially also homeless. This cannot be said of a single Jew in this world, Zionist or other.

JK said...

No homeless Jew? Is that an argument? Or a tribute to solidarity in the Jewish community?
Palestine has to be Judenrein, because the government of the future state will not be able to protect its Jewish minority and Israel knows it. Knowing it, Israel will have to relocate the settlers before they are eradicated by the Palestinian Nazis. If someone doubts they are Nazis, I will direct him to the Hamas Charter (the legally and democratically elected Representatives of the Palestinians).

Palestine does need to be Judenrein, at least for the most part. Removing illegal (Jewish) settlements, making it illegal for Jews to buy a land from a Palestinian. These are all things which push towards having a Palestinian state with as few Jews as possible. That's their right. Palestinians don't want Jews and I can understand why.

Also, of course the Palestinians are not going to use the word "Judenrein" - that would only undermine their cause. But it's no secret they don't want Jews around.

There are no "illegal Jewish settlements" on Palestinian land. There are illegal Arab settlements on Jewish land. "I want to add though that there are also several million Palestinians who aren't just stateless but essentially also homeless. This cannot be said of a single Jew in this world, Zionist or other." That is sheer ignorance in so many ways. For starters, what "meaningful argument" can be raised against people who are totally clueless of Middle Eastern history and who have been fed a steady diet of Arab/Muslim bullsh*t for the last 45 years? There is no such place known as Palestine, and there never was. There is no distinct group of Arabs known as "Palestinians." They are exactly like other Arabs. "Palestinians," as you and your readers call them, did not exist before 1964 when the terrorist, Yassir Arafat, and his PLO psychopaths, invented the bogus term, "Palestinian", and the bogus nation and notion of a Historic Palestine, as a political tool only. It is a bald-faced lie to say that "Palestinians were displaced from their land by Jews (not "Zionists"). Jews have lived continuously in Israel for 3,300 years. The land was, and still is, Israel. More than ninety percent (90%) of all the so-called "Palestinians" migrated to Israel, or were born there as children of emigrates, in the 20th Century. Israel is not Arabrein or Muslimrein. Just the opposite. Twenty percent (20%) of Israel's population is Arab, or about 1.5 MILLION living in Israel and enjoying a standard of living found nowhere else in Arab or Muslim world. Conversely, no Jew or Israeli can set foot in Arab countries, with few exceptions. And now, it appears that is exactly what "Peace Partner" (what a f**ing joke) Prime Minister/PLO terrorist Mahmoud Abbas announced this week - that not a single Jew or Israeli will be allowed to set foot in a Palestinian state. There are only 4,000 Jews remaining in Arab countries. 4,000 Jews living in more than 99% of all the land occupied by Arabs. 1.5 million Arabs living in less than 1% of the land that is Israel. How's that for the "Judenrein canard?" When Israel completely left Gaza in 2005 - and not a single Jew or Israeli remained - they left behind a multimillion dollar, state-of-the art series of greenhouses that would have provided enough fresh vegetables for every Gazan for the next 100 years. As their very first act of"independence," the so-called "Palestinians" destroyed all of the greenhouses. Finally, there is no distinction between "Zionist" and "Jew" in the Arab world, and in the upside-down world of the liberal elite. Every independent nation in the world has had, or still has, a nationalistic identity - otherwise there would never be any independent nations. Israel is the only nation in the world - and one of the oldest nations in the world - that is being denied this right, the right of self-determination. International Law plainly states that land captured in a defensive war does not have to be returned to the aggressors. So, why does Israel have to return land to the Arab nations that wanted to exterminte it in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973, 200, and 2006? They still do. Arab and Muslim nations refuse to recognize an independent Jewish state, yet there are 57 fully Islamic states that are so recognized? The Arabs caused the problem of displaced persons and it is the Arabs who have refused to solve the problem for the last 52 years. The Arabs who control 99% of the land absolutely refuse to resettle any "Palestinian Arabs" in their countries while Israel has absorbed 1.5 million "Palestinian Arabs" in the remaining one percent. Stupid people have a right to be stupid if, and only if, other people do not suffer because of it. Israel is suffering because of terminally stupid people.

The Europeans killed the Jews over many hundreds of years. Now all this anger and venom is directed - by the descendants of victims of Nazi oppression - at the Arabs who have lived in that part of the world fro eons. It is depressing. The Zionists should remember was happened and WHO did it to them. It was no the Arabs who ran the death camps..........

The so called "occupied" "west bank" is part of the same geographical entity. The 1948 cease fire line was never the border of any state, but simply a temporary situation in the eyes of the Palestinians and Arab nations, who have rejected the division of the land, crossed it repeatedly to murder Israelis, and made plans for the "second round"...
That was 1967 - orchestrated by Egyptian Nasser, joined by Hussein and Assad. They have completely failed - the second round was Israel's victory, thanks to a pre-emptive strike - the vision and courage of a small nation who still lacked resources and had a much smaller army - much smaller, but fighting for survival. The endless attacks and plans for the destruction of the state of Israel - The Arab's "Final Solution" to the "Jewish Problem" in the Middle-East is equivalent to the Nazi's ambitions about the Jews in Europe. As for the fake "moderates" in the Muslim world and their blind supporters in Europe - the demand to receive a "Free of Jews" Palestinian state fits indeed the definition of a demand for a Juderein!!
The Jews came to this land for a good reason - this reason still prevails - every time the Israeli-Arab conflict is on the news, Jews in Arab countries and Islami-Europe are being attacked. Anti-Semitism beliefs still gain new supporters and the countries from which the Jews fled will never welcome them back
Eventually people will realize that Arab false propaganda is simply that - False Propaganda!
LONG LIVE ISRAEL!!!

Cgullnz – You're right - It wasn't the Arabs who ran the death camps… However, let we tell you a small history chapter –
While Britain was fighting against the Nazi's, they also had mandates over Iraq and Israel / Palestine. During the war, the Arabs in both places launched a rebellion against the Brits. This rebellion was a coordinated effort with their Nazi allies. More that that, the Jerusalem Mufti (An office that never existed before and created by the Brits to "pacify" the Palestinians) went to Berlin and had meetings with the highest rank Genocide programmers including Hitler itself (!!) supporting the oppression and deportation of the Jews in Europe.
Today this dark chapter in Palestinian history is either denied or undermined, saying that the Mufti didn't know about the killings … well OK …

What about the near million Arab Jews driven out (1947-67)of the Arab and Moslem states where they'd lived for up to 2700 years. Why didn't Israel keep them encamped on the beaches or in the Negev and grovel for UNRWA money? Their life in Moslem lands was unpredictable. With Nazi propaganda and Husseini in 1941 began bloodbaths and expulsion for these Mizrahi Jews. An Arab contingent fought under Nazis in Europe. When will Israel's Mizrahis be compensated for their vast losses of homes, land, businesses and assets judged to be at least twice size of Palestinian claims. Be fair and consider plight of both together:Pals and Mizrahis.
